Welcome to Scouting in the Black Mountain District of the San Diego Imperial Council of the Boy Scouts of America! Black Mountain consists of over 2,400 Scouts and 500 volunteers who share their love of Scouting and the Outdoors with the communities that they live in. The following communities are a part of Black Mountain: Rancho Bernardo, 4S Ranch, Del Sur, Carmel Mountain Ranch, Rancho Pensaquitos and Poway with over 80 Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops and Venturing Crews.

The campaign begins with a Popcorn Rally on August 15th at Camp Balboa. No registration is required!

Poway Emergency Survival Fair

Prepared For Life

Be Prepared is the Boy Scout motto and what better way to be prepared for an emergency then to attend the Poway Emergency Survival Fair on Saturday, August 29th from 9am - 1pm at Old Poway Park (14134 Midland Rd).

The district would like each Boy Scout troop to sign up for 1 hour to be there during the day with their troop flag and literature about their troop. Link to sign up coming shortly!

Saturday, July 18 vs. Colorado Rockies at 5:40pm featuring the return of the post-game campout on the field.
Saturday, September 26 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks at 5:40pm featuring a pre-game warning track parade for the Scouts.

All Scouts will receive a separate exclusive 2015 Scout Night patch on each night.

A flyer/order form for both events is posted here. Scout Night tickets for both nights are on sale now. Please have just one representative purchase all group tickets for the entire Pack or Troop. Tickets can be purchased by mailing or emailing a completed order form or by phone at (619) 795-5137.

The group with the largest game ticket purchase for each event will be offered the chance to perform the Color Guard Ceremony before the game.
